This is it, people!

6 years in primary school. 4 years in high school. More or less 4 years in college. In the long run of you being a student, you don’t anticipate anything but to graduate.

I’m also a student. I have dreamt of graduating with my dream course in my dream school. But unfortunately, many things happened. I didn’t get the course I wanted. I didn’t have the chance to go to the school I wanted. Nevertheless, along with those failures, I learned that it is not important if you like the course you are taking up. It is not important if you are studying in big universities just like what you dreamt about or not. Because in the end, what’s important is that you are giving all of your attention, time, effort, and patience with everything that you do.

Before you enter college, I’m sure that many varieties of teachers you have already encountered. There’s a kind of teachers, terror teacher, and of course there’s this teacher who thinks nothing about the people around them.

Much kind of students, you have lived with. You became classmates, seatmates when you decided to stay in the library one day, you passed by in the corridors one time you came from cafeteria to buy a drink. Some of them became your friend, some of them are not. Those teachers and students made your student life colourful.

You have already experience many things as a student. And now is the time that you always dream about; the graduation day. Well, what does it actually feel to graduate?

Happy? Of course, you’re happy. After every struggles and sleepless nights, here you are receiving the fruit of your patience and perseverance. And just the thought that you can help your parents in return, is very overwhelming.

Sad? If you had lots of friends then you might be very sad. The thought of learning and separating ways is heart breaking.

Frightening? You might ask me, what is so frightening about the thing you anticipate so much? Well, there are things that are very frightening about graduating.

First, what if I don’t have that confidence to face the real world? What will I do without my friends beside me? Can I actually make it?

Second, what if I didn’t get a job? What if I’m not qualified to be an employee? What if they reject me the first time I try to apply?

Third, what if I didn’t get my dream job? What if I’m not suitable for anything? What if I’m not good enough?

The fear of being not qualified or good enough for your dream job is the biggest fear of every graduating student. But, always remember that you can make it. Build your confidence and smile to the opportunities. Don’t let fear discourage you with what you want to do with your life. This is it my fellow students. This is the day we all dreamt about. Congratulations!
